- 1 cup or more ice
- 1 cup fresh blueberries, OR, use blueberry juice, found in some markets. I found some on Amazon like this one and used it once, it was an infusion drink, delish. OR, Organic blueberry juice One more option, freeze dried blueberries. You can add them to the fresh blueberries or grind a couple of teaspoons up and add to the tea.
- 1 tea bag, I used a regular Lipton green tea bag, regular black tea will work too
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 teaspoon honey, this is the honey I used and really like a lot.
- 2 tablespoons coconut milk, sub almond or oat milk if you don’t have coconut milk, the taste will be different but still delish

How to Make This Blueberry Refresher Drink
Making this drink is super simple. You’ll be all done in just a few minutes.
Step 1: Blend the Blueberries (If using blueberry juice, skip over this step and go on to step 2)
Add the blueberries to a blender or small food processor and blend until liquified. Push the mixture through a fine mesh strainer and set aside. No pulp should remain below.
Step 2: Brew the Tea
Place the tea bag in 1 cup boiling water in a heat proof measuring cup. Let steep about 5 minutes or more for a stronger taste.
Step 3: Add the Honey
Add the honey to the hot tea, then set it aside to cool in the fridge or freezer. Add the tea with the blueberry juice. Stir gently.
Step 4: Mix the Drink
Fill a tall glass with ice. Then, pour in the blueberry tea mixture. Add coconut milk. Stir and enjoy!
Substitutions and Variations
- You can use blueberry juice in place of fresh blueberries.
- Use any kind of tea you like for this drink.
- For more blueberry and tea flavor, omit the coconut milk.
- Try maple syrup in place of honey.
- For a deeper blue color, you can add a bit more blueberry juice or blueberry powder.
Equipment
- Tall glass
- Measuring cups and spoons
- Microwaveable glass or mug for brewing the tea bag
- Spoon
Tips
- If your blended blueberries are too thick, you can add a tablespoon or two of water to thin them out.
- About 5 minutes of steeping will give you a “middle of the road” tea flavor. Brew for more or less time depending on the tea strength you desire.
Storage
If you have any leftovers, pour the remaining drink into another cup without ice so it won’t be diluted. Then, cover and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
