Shortcut Asian Pasta Salad

  • 1 lb box mini farfalle pasta (4 cups dry)
  • 16 oz Asian ginger sesame salad dressing, the dressings I use are Newman’s Sesame Ginger, Kens Asian Sesame, or Kraft. All these brands come in a light versions too
  • 1/2 cup dried cherries
  • 15 oz can mandarins oranges, drained
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

Optional add-ins

  • 1/8 cup fresh chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped or slivered nuts, such as almonds or chopped peanuts
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds


  1. 1.Cook pasta according to package directions.

    2.. Drain and rinse just a little in cold water, drain well.

    3.In a large mixing bowl, combine pasta and bottle of dressing..

    4. Add cherries and mix in gently, try not to break up the pasta.

    5.Add mandarins and again, mix gently.

    6.Toss in chopped spinach either on top or gently mix in.

    7.For any additional ingredients, do the same as above and mix in gently.

    8.Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Place on serving platter or bowl. Dig in and enjoy!
