Cheesy Italian Chicken Pasta Bake

My family loves this chicken and pasta dish. It’s also great for any potluck dinner or for company. Enjoy this very special chicken dish!

Ingredients

  • 28 ounce or there about, jarred marinara sauce
  • 1 large bag egg noodles
  • 2 large chicken cutlets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp each salt and pepper or use seasoned salt
  • 2 cups part skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 stem each rosemary and thyme, or use Italian seasoning blend, about 1 teaspoon
  • parsley or leftover herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1. Cut chicken breast into strips or tenders size

    2. Heat nonstick skillet to medium high heat. Add oil.

    3. Sprinkle salt and pepper or seasoned salt on the chicken and add to heated skillet.

    4. While chicken is cooking, began to cook noodles according to the package directions.

    5. Once chicken is thoroughly cooked, removed and set aside.

    6. Now, drain the noodles and add to a large mixing bowl. Stir in marinara sauce.

    7. Add noodles and sauce mix to a 13 x 9 baking dish.

    8. Remove the stems from both rosemary and thyme, mince both. Or, use the Italian seasoning blend.

    9. Place chicken on top of pasta.

    10. Sprinkle rosemary and thyme over chicken and pasta.

    11. Sprinkle cheese over top and bake for 35 minutes at 375 degrees.

    12. Remove from oven once golden brown. Enjoy!
