Ingredients

  • 1 heaping cup ice
  • 1 cup milk, whole or 2% works well; for dairy-free, use almond milk
  • 1 1/2 - 2 tsp matcha green tea powder
  • 2 tbsp agave, granulated sugar, simple syrup, vanilla syrup, or sweetener of choice
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt, optional but recommended, or 1/4 tsp Xanthan gum, or 1/4 cup heavy cream, these are all to keep creamy and thick
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp aerosol whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. 1.Pour milk and ice into blender first. Pulse a few times to break up ice. Then blend for just a few seconds. Add the remaining ingredients.

2.Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste for sweetness and texture. For very thick, add one or two more ice cubes, for thinner, add more milk.

3.Pour into 1 tall glass or 2 smaller glasses. Add whipped cream and straw.
