Bright Green Jello Shots

These “adult only” Bright Green Jello Shots are a big hit with our friends. A delicious Tequila treat that’s just the right mini size.

During the summer nights my husband and I like to have a few friends over for some jazz playing in the background, appetizers, finger foods , light bites and cocktails.

The one thing I am requested to serve is some kind of Jello Shot.

Since they are kind of between a dessert and a cocktail and have just the right amount of what ever kind of alcoholic beverage you put in it.

I guess that’s why they are called shots. Just the right size for one or two shots of a Jello Shot.

This time around I made Lime Margarita Jello Shots. They came out so refreshing and tasting just delicious. I was so happy that everyone loved them.

I’m going to bring them over to a friends house in a few weeks when they are having an outdoor party for their 25th anniversary.

The next time you have a party that you don’t have to worry that any kids can get their hands on one of these little shots, make a batch and enjoy with your friends and please remember, be safe.

  3. Place plastic cups on a small rimmed baking sheet or platter. Pour mixture into a large heatproof measuring cup or if your pot has a spout use that. Pour into 12 cups about 3/4 the way up.
  4. Chill without the lids in fridge for at least 2 to 3 hours until completely set and solid.
  5. When ready to serve, you can take a lime and run around the rim of each cup or dip your finger in water or even a sticky sweetener like agave or corn syrup and then quickly dip the cup into the sugar or salt that you poured out onto a small plate. Turn back over and place a lime wedge over each rim.

Enjoy these refreshing lime margarita shots!
